Thanks to the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations, The Barton Center features beautiful woodlands and fields, scenic ponds, a health and education center in North Oxford, a dining facility in Charlton, beautiful log cabins, and recreational and dining areas.

North Oxford Facilities include:

  • A state of the art health and education center
  • 11 cabins, eight of them winterized, with bathrooms and showers
  • Newly renovated dining hall
  • Wooded hiking trails
  • Swimming pool and 2-acre pond (for summer camp use only)
  • Tennis and basketball courts
  • High and low ropes course (age appropriate–for summer camp use only)
  • Indoor facilities for arts and crafts, music and drama
  • Playing fields for soccer, softball, archery, and other activities
  • Covered pavilion for outdoor activities even in the rain
  • Historic Clara Barton Birthplace Museum

The North Oxford Site

The site includes basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts as well as athletic fields and hiking trails. The swimming pool is for summer camp use only. In the winter, there is sledding.

The spacious “Great Room” of the George H. and Marie P. Chabot Health and Education Center or Fuller Dining Hall can be used for dining and larger meetings. Both buildings have cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces. There are numerous options for small group meeting space.

The fully equipped, “home-like” kitchen in the Chabot Health and Education Center and large commercial kitchen in the Fuller Dining Hall include multiple oven ranges, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers. Cooking utensils, dishes, and silverware are provided.

Charlton Facilities include:

  • A state of the art dining hall
  • 10 rustic cabins, some with indoor plumbing
  • Covered Pavilion for outdoor activities even in the rain
  • Hiking trails
  • Scenic 20-acre pond (for summer camp use only)
  • Tennis and basketball courts
  • Climbing wall (for summer camp use only)
  • Athletic fields for baseball, soccer, and archery

The Charlton Site

The site includes basketball and tennis courts as well as many athletic fields, scenic 20-acre pond (for summer camp use only), and hiking trails, including the infamous “Hike to Heck.”

The spacious Penta dining hall can accommodate large groups, has built-in audio-vision equipment, and contains a fully-equipped, large commercial kitchen. The space has a three-story cathedral ceiling and large stone fireplace.
