Video: Building the Bionic Pancreas
During the summers of 2014 and 2013, a team of researchers descended on Clara Barton Camp and Camp Joslin to conduct the Bionic Pancreas study. The study was led by Steven J. Russell, MD, PhD, an endocrinologist from Massachusetts General Hospital and Edward Damiano, PhD, an engineer from Boston University. The 2014 study was focused on younger campers aged 6-11, while the 2013 study was for older campers and counselors.
